Summer Evening Events (SEE) are flexible, relaxed and low key. Times and Courses offered will vary from event to event – to suit the constraints of the area and the whim of the organiser. If in doubt check with the organiser

Anyone can come to an SEE - you do not have to be a member, you do not need to have orienteered before, they are great fun.

Check the flyer for details - the 'confirmed' lets you know if the organiser has sent me updated and accurate information - if 'provisional' check with the organiser - we may not yet have permission for the event!

Courses: Usually Blue-ish - 5+ km, Green-ish 3 to 4km, Orange 2 to 3 km.   A Yellow course may be offered but please phone to 'pre-book'.

Times: Registration is normally from around 18:00. Starts from 18:15 to 19:00. Times are usually flexible and depend on how fast the organiser can get the controls out, and how long it is going to take to collect them in afterwards. Fees: Adults £2 Juniors 50p (except where land access and parking fees are levied - then the fees will have to eflect this - see event flyer)

League Scoring: Following comments from Brian and George the rules were modified for 2004 - there is still scope for further tweaking - please send me your comments (up until the date of the first race!)

Safety Competitors are responsible for their own safety and take part at their own risk. PLEASE NOTE that the carrying of whistles is now compulsory at all HOC events.
