Controller's Comments

Penny and I enjoyed working with Kirsty and Kath, who were an efficient team, and who were rewarded with a beautiful springlike day for their event. Despite the brambles which have spread through most of the wood, Kath found ways of taking the courses through the best bits of terrain, while maintaining the correct physical and technical levels.

Kath also showed that she was skilful enough to cope with the intricacies of Condes as well as OCAD during the planning and preparation for printing. It worries me a bit that a planner of a District event should now have to have the IT skills of a Badge-event planner as well as the orienteering knowledge: hopefully this will not become a stumbling-block in the future.
