Many thanks to Andy H for last night’s event, to Alison for her excellent map of what is an lovely area, and to the Woodland Trust for looking after it so well and giving us their support. The results and comments are on the WEE page here. Congratulations to David W on a narrow victory over Ifor, and to Eloise for her win in the women’s race on only her second event in the woods after dark.
Congratulations to Alex Mitchell (M20) and Alison Sloman (W85) who beat the wind, ice, rock and snow on Saturday night to become British Night Champions in their age classes. Harlequins are just 250 points behind the leaders, Octavian Droobers but Wrekin are snapping…
Many thanks to James for last night’s event, and to Barry for his valiant efforts to update the map during conservation felling. The results are here; comments to follow. It was a baptism of fire to those of us who had forgotten how to orienteer in the dark; to quote one of HOC’s best orienteers “If that area was larger it would be worthy of a championship!” It was a double vistory for Wrekin, with Kristof for clearing the course…
The first in our series of Thursday night “forest” events is this Thursday at Shire Oak, Walsall. Contact organiser James (details on the flyer) to reserve a map.
The results are now available on the Latest Results page. Thank you all for coming along and we hope you enjoyed the challenge of Worcester Beacon!
