The event will go ahead on the 20th September but will be Local, score event for HOC and COBOC members only. This will allow us to prove the Covid19 safety precautions at a smaller event first.
British Orienteering announced today that Alison Sloman, HOC’s very well respected mapper, had won the 2019 Trophy for “best contribution to mapping”. More details, including Alison’s reaction, is on the British Orienteering’s news page. Congratulations!

Open hill tops with both grassy and wooded slopes, some of which are steep! Rock features add to the navigational challenge. On a clear day the views are spectacular; when the cloud is low the technical difficulty is much higher.
