I’d planned the course so that every other (ish) control on the first section was on or very near paths, with the others accessible without having to fight through vegetation (subject to route choice). Many thanks to those helpers; we were finished by 8.30. Apologies to those who had problems on 11 and 24; I shouldn’t have chosen those control-sites. I have added an extra control to those who went from 160 to 162 without finding 161, and to those who went from 175 or 183 to 185…
