This league is designed to provide a chance for all Harlequins to compete in different age groups across all events where Members are representing HOC in a calendar year.
Congratulations to the HOC team who competed in today’s Compass Sport Cup regional qualifier at Clumber Park. Captain Kerstin says: We are superstars!!!! I must admit I didn’t think we would beat OD, but we did! I will immediately start to look for a bunk house – no one is allowed to sit the final out. I won’t take any excuses! Well done to all HOC runners today. You should be proud!
Captain Kerstin says: Whether you are participating in the CSC qualifiers or not, we invite you to a map geeking session with the one and only Andy Hemsted, Steve Blackmore is hosting and looking after the IT. The fifth and sixth events of the NSL series have now been completed. First time planners Steve and Corrie Blackmore laid on a very well attended event in the Warndon district of Worcester, an area which has been host to several NSL events due to the excellent street orienteering that it offers with its intricate network of footpaths and pathways. There’s nothing more important for Orienteering than a map! Mapping Officer Paul Basher is planning to put on a get-together for anyone interested in mapping. This will include information useful to existing mappers- new technology, Lidar, GPS, etc- and also provide an introduction to what’s involved for anyone interested in joining the team. A second message form our southern neighbours, updating the situation: Further to the earlier post below, FE have now informed us of large exclusion zones covering most of the area, so this means the event is now infeasible.
