Haden Hill Photo-O

Peter Langmaid has compiled a fiendish challenge using the map of his local area, Haden Hill Park.  Your task is to mark the controls on the orienteering map using only the photographic clues. Answers to be emailed to Peter by the end of February. Some extra hints and Peter’s email address are on the forum. Good hunting!

There and back again…..

There and back again…..

A team of intrepid Harlequins have arrived ‘virtually’ at John O’Groats, and as we still have 14 days left in January the team is going to turn around and head back south. For those not already following on facebook or the forum, this started as a challenge from Quantock Orienteers, and has taken on a life of its own. The map and details are on the GPS Orienteering page, which also has information about using the MapRun app and other areas and courses that are available.

Castlemorton Common report

Castlemorton Common report

It was sunny; we all kept our (social) distance and the locals were welcoming.  Thanks to Ian for some interesting planning and Babs for the slick organisation.  Results and Routegadget are available;  congratulations to Dave Aldridge for the overall win and to Alex Mitchell for running him close. James Thompson was just a couple of places behind Dad Simon with brother Craig whizzing round the Orange controls.
