That was close! For the men Jason managed to clear all the controls, thus proving the planning was almost right, unfortunately he went slightly over time handing the lead to David Williams, who missed one control out but was in time. Arthur Mitchell was pushing them hard with 20 controls and time to spare! Very well done to all.

For the Ladies Eloise smashed the field with a massive 19 controls with just 5 seconds to spare. She was one of only two people to include the headbanger number 16 in the deep dark jungle. I think maybe if she had missed out 16 she might have picked up 20 controls. An excellent run. Second and third, Mandy and Kerstin enjoyed it so much they stopped out a bit longer.

To everyone else, well done for getting back in time. Much appreciated, and a big hand to the control collectors who went out again. Thanks for your efforts.

When planning this event, I tried to coax people into both the the SE area and north of the road by putting one or two controls reasonably close together in both areas. No 6 seemed to be a problem, many missing it out. All I can say is that in the pouring rain, I managed to follow Alisons excellent updated map to the correct point even though many paths were difficult to pick out due to the leaf fall. My apologies for No.9, it was raining, I was wet and I looked quickly at my control descriptions saw the North most arrow and put the control there instead of on the S side. Other than that I think a few had a problem with 20. When putting the controls out I did not see the path to the N of it, but the area was covered in a dense layer of leaves. The feature itself was obvious when you saw it though.

Hope you all enjoyed it.
